GUARDED BY DEMONS

When I heard the little girl below my bedroom getting raped, I called 911. The police came to the backyard and saw the window open in my bedroom and her’s, but did not respond in a way to stop the attack. Her extreme pain was audible to the back yard.

It was first a single male officer, and then a single female officer.

They were walking around the back, instead of even knocking on the door to the unit.

It felt like she was being guarded by demons from Hell, as another demon was doing unspeakable things to this sixth or seventh grader in her bed.

I felt helpless and terrified, that night involved some of the scariest and grossest hours I have ever survived.

For the next seventy two hours, I wanted to not even be in my bedroom or even in my apartment. I’ve had some shudders in my life, but this constant shudder was ever more intensely horrific.

My body gets the chills and I just shake for a second or two or longer and it feels like the Grim Reaper is just poking his head in and grazing me with his finger, not his sickle, his finger or the palm of his hand. Like a moment of terror that is very hard to shake off and when you do come out of the shudder, you get stopped dead in your fucking tracks, usually when I’m sitting, but at times when I am standing.

It is the worst feeling.

The Grim Reaper may not be real, but the concept is all too familiar and I do not want this to go unnoticed or God help us now-unpunished.

She was not only left to be raped by an older man in her bedroom below my floor, she was then taken into another room and tortured with an intercom of audio sent to my kitchen as I was horrified to hear they were now lighting this poor girl on fire, among other sadistic and torturous acts, God only knows-I do not.
